We’ll move Kwara to economically viable state – Abdulrazaq

Kwara approves refund of N184m to 2,300 intending pilgrims

Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq says his administration will continue to prioritise job creation, youth empowerment and infrastructural development to enable the state to attain an enviable height.

Abdulrazaq stated this at a town hall meeting held in Oro, Irepodun local government area of the state.

He said his administration has put in place measures to remove the state from being a civil service to a more economically viable state.

Abdulrazaq explained that the state government will also scale up its investment in agriculture to support food production.

He urged the traditional institutions to continue to support the state government effort in the maintenance of law and order in their various domains.

In his address, the senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Lola Ashiru commended the traditional institution for support the state government development programmes.

He urged the people of his constituency and the state in general to support the presidential candidate of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the re-election bid of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Also, a member representing Ifelodun, Isin Oke-Ero and Ekiti local government areas of Kwara state, Raheem Olawuyi commended the state government for ensuring even distribution of dividend of democracy to the nook and cranny of the state.

Also speaking, chairman, Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB), Shehu Adaramaja, said the present administration has brought transformation to the education sector in the state.

The chairman of traditional rulers in Irepodun local government area of the state, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya -Alebiosu appreciated the effort of the state government for bringing development closer to the people at the grassroots, just as the chairman, Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sunday Fagbemi urged the people to reciprocate the good gesture done on them by the present administration.
