Uzodinma hands over cargo airport tollgate to FAAN

Nigeria’s economy will flourish if leaders adopt Okpara’s model – Uzodinma

Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo State, has handed over a digital tollgate at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri, to the authorities of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The governor said that the facility would enable the FAAN operatives to provide quality service to Imo people who patronise the airport in particular, and their Nigerians counterparts, in general.

At the brief ceremony, Uzodinma said that the facility was provided by the state government to beautify the airport and its ambience and also to enable traffic management in and out of the airport.

This is as he acknowledged that the road to the airport had earlier been commissioned by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu in his last visit to Imo State when the digital facility was in the works.

Earlier, Nkechi Ihekwuaba, the airport manager, welcomed the governor, used the opportunity to thank Governor Uzodinma for providing the beautiful structure at the airport and humbly requested his approval for FAAN to start using the tollgate.
