US firm to partner Abia on entrepreneurship development, skills acquisition

US firm, US Market Access Centre (USMAC), has concluded plan to partner Abia State Government on entrepreneurship development, skills acquisition and technology.

Chris Burry, the leader of the delegation made this known at the Government House, Umuahia when the team paid a working visit to Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State.

Burry stated that Abia was the first State that his team was visiting with its proposals because of the innovations which the governor had brought to the State, expressing interest of his team to invest in entreprenuership development and skills acquisition in Abia.

He also said the company would like to collaborate with Abia State Government in various technological areas with opportunities including entreprenuership education, skills acquisition among others.

Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State in response, stated that there was no better place currently for entrepreneurship and investment other than Abia State, adding that the State Government would be happy to partner with the company to harness the potentials and human energy which ars abound in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the State.

“The proposal of the company is in line with the vision of my administration. When you talk of technology, that’s where we are heading to. If it is about entrepreneurship, innovation, I think you have come to the best place. There is no better place, if you are talking about entrepreneurship, if you are thinking of investment, than Abia state”, Otti stated.
