Yakubu Lawi Sumi has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State on his recent re-election at the polls.
Governor Mohammed defeated Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the governorship election to secure re-election after being declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Lawi Sumi gave the congratulatory message during a press briefing with some selected journalists, saying that Bala’s re-election will bring more development to the state and for the good of the people of Bauchi state.

He said that it was during Governor Mohammed’s administration that the state experienced more developments in many sectors such as Education, Health-Care delivery, Agriculture and transportation over the past four years. “The governor is now well positioned to move Bauchi State to the next level,” he said.
Sumi appealed to Governor Bala to take a look at the state youths and consider them in terms of political appointments and also make enough provision for job opportunities.
He also called on the governor to embrace all the community groups in running the government in order to spur economic growth that would improve the lives of all residents of the state.
He further wished for a lasting peace and stability in Bauchi State as well as other parts of the country and prayed for the successful completion of his second tenure.
While congratulating Musa Wakili Nakwada, a member representing Bogoro constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly on his re election, he urged him to pilot the affairs of the constuency for another four four years with great hardwork.
He described Musa’s re-election as a test for the strength of the People’s Democratic Party in Bogoro which, he said, would also bring more development to the constituents.
The University Don promised to give his support to the member-elect for the betterment of the people of Bogoro Constituency, Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole.
