Freddy Hirsch, Symrise partnership drives innovation in African flavours

The golden opportunity provided by the annual exhibition of food items and related products such as Hi-Tech food equipment by distributors, retailers, procurement managers and of course, the buyers is not one to be taken for granted. Hosted by BtoB Events Ltd, it has over the years added more value and impact to the products, processes and services of the companies that have made good use of it. The networking made available between and amongst several of the companies on ground year after year cannot be underestimated.

Incidentally, this year’s edition scheduled to hold between 11th and 13th of June will provide an opportunity for over 300 food and beverages exhibitors drawn from across the globe with business partners in West Africa. It will therefore, be the largest gathering of food entrepreneurs in Africa ever, attracting over 50 companies spanning five continents. Prominent amongst these are those from the USA, UAE, China, Turkey, India, Egypt and Pakistan.

Another unique aspect of the exhibition is that for the first time it will host the first ever pavilion for over 30 food and beverages companies and suppliers from China and the return of pavilions from Dubai, Turkey and Pakistan.

Some of the globally recognised companies participating in the 2024 edition include Danfond, Meridyen, AAFUD, Creamella, Palmary, Caprice,Simpli, Mamadoc, Pakmaya Veres and WISE Trading Company. Others are NOSTRA, SPIRE, CHIKO MIKO, YEH GS (UK) Ltd, MAMEE, Tokura, Sun Mark and CHIKAS Taste the Joy.

To be made available and of course, affordable for sale are confectioneries, alcohol and spirits, snacks, sweets and refreshing, non-alcoholic beverages. Good enough that SeerBit, Africa’s most trusted payment solution company has become the official lanyard sponsor and will therefore, make payments between the sellers and buyers stress-free.

The partnership of SeerBit and the Managing Director, Jamic Hill- led BtoB host underscores the commitment to growth and innovation as well as impactful events within and outside the continent. As a pan-African fintech powerhouse, scaling businesses across the continent by providing seamless payment solutions to a rapidly growing number of users, its presence at the 2024 edition is expected to make a whole world of difference to all the stakeholders.

Also, the F and B West Africa Exhibition as organized by the BtoB Events Ltd, the proud owner of West Africa’s largest portfolio of trade exhibition should learn from the experiences of the past editions. For instance, it would be recalled that the 2020 version was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But on return in 2021 the focus was on showcasing Nigeria’s food and beverages industry to the world by bringing the key players under one roof. And with health-promoting policies, there were stringent safety and hygiene measures put firmly in place to contain the spread of the virus.

Subsequently, the event has grown from strength to strength ever since. The 2023 edition recorded over 5,000 attendees and trade partners from across Africa while over 250 exhibitors were there to show the stuff they are made of.

As the organizers insist, this year’s edition is going to be: “Your only opportunity to access the key decision makers across the thriving African food and beverage industry”. As usual yours truly has registered for it. You are therefore, humbly advised to do so too because of the immense benefits inherent to promote your food-related businesses if you are involved in them.

Similarly, it will assist to lift your entrepreneurship to a higher ground as you exhibit and showcase them to the global community. Veritable ideas you share with like minds will also expand your operational horizon and project African foods, their processing techniques, preservation mechanism and marketing beyond our shores.
