Third mainland bridge sections to shut down for 5 weeks — FG

The Ministry of Works, representing the Federal Government, has officially announced the impending closure of two ramps on the Third Mainland Bridge for essential repair work.

In a statement issued and signed by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, O. I. Kesha, said, “The motoring public are hereby notified that the repair works will begin with the ramps connecting Oworoshoki to Adekunle and Lagos Island (Adeniji Adele) to Adekunle simultaneously.”

The statement clarifies that the repair activities are set to commence simultaneously on the ramps that connect Oworoshoki to Adekunle and Lagos Island (Adeniji Adele) to Adekunle.

These repair works are scheduled to commence at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, and are expected to span a duration of five weeks.

Kesha, in her advisory role, stressed the importance of motorists’ cooperation with traffic management officials during this period. She urged them to adhere to all diversions and directional signage as instructed.

Furthermore, she encouraged motorists to consider utilising alternative routes during the period of ramp closures for their convenience and to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
