Netflix is releasing a range of movies this March, covering various genres from animation and thriller to science fiction and drama.

These six films offer viewers different experiences, from animated adventures to intense investigations and action-packed sequels.

Plankton: The Movie is the second spin-off film from the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, following the release of Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Story in 2024. The film follows SpongeBob and Plankton as they unite to prevent Plankton’s wife, Karen, from taking over the world. The animated film incorporates musical elements and continues the legacy of the SpongeBob SquarePants series.

Delicious — March 7

Delicious

The German thriller Delicious is the debut feature from writer-director Nele Mueller-Stöfen. It arrives on Netflix shortly after its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. The film follows a German family during their retreat at a villa in France. Their vacation takes a turn after they accidentally hit a stranger on the road and invite her into their home. The presence of the stranger changes the dynamic of the family and leads to unforeseen consequences.

The Electric State— March 14

The Electric State

The Electric State is a sci-fi adventure film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Set in the aftermath of a civil war between humans and robots, the film follows Michelle, an orphan played by Millie Bobby Brown, as she searches for her missing brother. Along the way, she is assisted by Keats, played by Chris Pratt, a smuggler. The film features a supporting cast that includes Stanley Tucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Woody Norman, and Ke Huy Quan. Several well-known actors provide voices for the robots encountered throughout the film.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera — March 20

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is the sequel to the 2018 action thriller Den of Thieves. The film, which was released in cinemas earlier this year, arrives on Netflix on March 20. Gerard Butler reprises his role as Nick O’Brien, a sheriff pursuing a group of thieves known as the Panthers. O’Shea Jackson Jr. returns as Donnie Wilson, a former Marine with a criminal past. A third installment in the series has already been approved and is expected to follow in the near future.

Revelations — March 21

Revelations

Revelations is a thriller from Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, the creators of Hellbound. Executive produced by Alfonso Cuarón, the film follows a local pastor, Sung Min-chan, as he investigates a missing person case. The detective assigned to the case, Lee Yeon-hui, struggles with personal trauma, which affects his ability to conduct the investigation. The film stars Ryu Jun-yeol, Shin Hyun-been, and Shin Min-jae.

Promised Hearts — March 31

Promised Hearts

Promised Hearts is an Indonesian drama focusing on the challenges of arranged marriage. The film follows Niyala, played by Beby Tsabina, a doctor who is forced by her father to marry the son of a wealthy businessman to settle a family debt. The film examines themes of Muslim identity and tradition. Promised Hearts is scheduled for release on March 31, aligning with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
