…assigns portfolios to six commissioners
Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has assured President Bola Tinubu of 100% of the electorate votes in the State in 2027 Presidential election.
Okpebholo gave the assurance in his goodwill message during a food outreach by the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), through its Social Investment Programme in Benin City.
The governor who assured the president of his continued support ahead of the 2027 Presidential polls, noted that the initiative of the first lady would not have been successful without the support of President Tinubu.

He said, “The electorate in Edo State will give the President 100% of their votes in the 2027 presidential election for remembering the vulnerable in the State. The people of Edo State will support the president for a second term if and when he decides to run.”
Meanwhile, Governor Okpebholo has assigned portfolio to the six newly sworn-in Commissioners in the State. The six Commissioners were sworn-in by the governor following the successful screening and confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly last week.
The Commissioners and their portfolios are Paul Ohonbamu, Information and Communications; Washington Osa Osifo, Water Resources and Energy; and Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, Education.
Others are Lucky Eseigbe, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Andrew Ijegbai, Mining and Marie Olabisi Idaomi, Women Affairs and Social Development.
