The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), the country’s ports economic regulator, South-East zonal coordinating office, Aba, Abia State, will be organising one-day enlightenment seminar on “Exploring the contemporary challenges in the Export business of South-East stakeholders: Effective strategies and measures”.
BusinessDay checks revealed that inadequate infrastructure, regulatory and policy issues create weighty challenges in Nigeria export sector.
Exporters also encounter delays and high costs, due to complex and inefficient Customs procedures.

The workshop scheduled for Wednesday next week will identify and discuss the contemporary challenges, faced by exporters in the South-East zone, and explore innovative strategies to overcome such challenges.
The forum will also explore measures to mitigate these challenges, to equip stakeholders with practical tools and techniques to enhance their export business, provide a roadmap for sustainable export growth and development in the South-East zone.
The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) is a government agency under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
The NSC is responsible for promoting and protecting the interests of shippers, shipping service providers, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry.
The NSC also regulates tariffs, charges, and practices of shipping companies, terminal operators, and other service providers.
