NITDA, Seedbuilders to build capacity of tech innovators

In an effort to promote innovation in the technology sector, Seedbuilders in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA have organised an artificial intelligence hackathon for Sustainable Development Goals, SDG’s

Olaoluwa Olorunisomo, cofounder of Seedbuilders Innovation Hub said the challenge features over 292 innovation hubs seeking to solve social problems in various sectors of the country.

Olorunisomo said “ In line with the SDG goals of trying to reduce poverty, we called on AI developers from all over the country to come with a solution for any challenges in the Nigerian sector. These people from all over the country will be peaching their ideas and 3 winners will go home with a million naira, first group 500k, second group N300,00 and third group N200,000.

“We are trying to improve the tech ecosystem, help entrepreneurs and startups so that the country can solve her social problems. This AI will help in health care delivery, in security it will help to counter-terrorism by detecting movements” he added

According to him, with the collaboration with NITDA solutions proffered during the challenge will be recognised and implemented by the government.
