Implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) of the Nigerian government, which is part of the country’s COVID-19 response strategy, will be one of the focal points at the ongoing Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Besides the ESP, sources at the Cabinet Office Secretariat in Abuja, the country’s federal capital, told BusinessDay that several other issues lined up for discussion include memos from the Ministries of Works and Housing, Education, Defence, and Agriculture and Rural Development.
Other memos include those of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Power, and Water Resources.
Also, the long-awaited take-off of the Mambila Power Project currently being delayed by compensation plans, the massive agric development plans of the government, the ongoing corruption investigations, and the resumption programme of Federal Government schools have been lined up for review, BusinessDay gathered.
