The Nigerian Army, with the combined military efforts of soldiers from Niger, Chad and Cameroon, has been able to disarm 70 Boko Haram terrorists in the Lake Chad Area of Borno State.

The soldiers under the auspices of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of Operation Lake Sanity 2, dismantled five Boko Haram terrorists’ camps on the islets across the Cameroonian and Nigerian territories of Lake Chad, which resulted in the deaths of several terrorists as others fled to Chad.

The military action was contained in a press statement issued by Abubakar Abdullahi, Lieutenant Colonel and Chief Military Public Information Officer of

HQ MNJTF Ndjamena-Chad on Monday in Maiduguri, Borno State Capital.

Similarly, the military operation also resulted in the destruction of 8 vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) in Arinna Ciki and two ammunition bunkers Northeast of Malam Fatori.
