Nigerian ambassador to Morocco dies at 42

Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, the Nigerian ambassador to Morocco, has died at the age of 42.

Bamalli, appointed ambassador by former President Muhammadu Buhari last year, was a prince of the Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna State.

According to a statement from the Zazzau emirate council’s media and publicity officer, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli passed away after a brief illness in a private hospital in Lagos while travelling to Morocco on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Bamalli graduated from the University of Abuja, where he studied law. He also held a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Jos.

Before he was appointed ambassador, Bamalli served as the executive secretary of the Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA).

He was also a member of the Bank of Industry (BOI) board of directors.

Bamalli is survived by his wife and 2 children.
