Tolulope Akande Sadipe, a lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Oyo State, has urged security agencies to dig deeper and ensure that the illegal miners linked to Tuesday’s explosion in Ibadan are arrested and prosecuted.

Akande-Sadipe, who chairs the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, said the tragic explosion was an avoidable incident.
Recall that the explosion left the people in mourning, with fatalities and the loss of property.

Akande Sadipe extended her prayers to the victims and their families.

The lawmaker emphasised the need for collective support within the community.

She urged relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of the explosion.

“How could such explosives be stored in a residential neighbourhood?” she queried.

“Understanding the root causes is deemed essential to prevent such tragedies in the future, ensuring the safety and well-being of communities.”
