Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, of Plateau state has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mela Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In a congratulatory message signed by Gyang Bere, his Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA), made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Lafia, governor Mutfwang described Kyari as an exceptional leader whose vision and foresight have significantly reshaped the NNPCL and positioned it as a catalyst for national development.
He commended Kyari’s relentless efforts in addressing critical national challenges and fostering enduring peace, unity, and cohesion in the country.
The Governor highlighted Kyari’s pragmatic leadership style, which has ushered in remarkable milestones, including the resuscitation of two refineries, increased domestic natural gas consumption, and a boost in oil production. These achievements, he noted, have contributed immensely to Nigeria’s economic stability and growth.
Reflecting on Kyari’s distinguished career, particularly during one of the most challenging periods in Nigeria’s history, governor Mutfwang praised his wisdom, resilience, and unwavering dedication to excellence. He lauded Kyari’s ability to tackle complex national issues with a commitment to bringing relief and progress to the Nigerian people.
“On behalf of the government and people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang prayed for renewed strength, good health, and divine wisdom for Kyari as he continues to undertake his noble tasks in service to the nation”; the statement said.
