Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested suspected Boko Haram collaborators and a drone supplier while neutralising insurgents in coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states.
This was contained in a statement issued by Sani Uba, a Lieutenant Colonel and Media Information Officer at the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), on February 19, 2026.

In Adamawa State, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade, working with local vigilantes and hunters, apprehended 28-year-old Ismail Muhammed in the Visik area of the Hong Local Government Area.
He was identified as a suspected logistics supplier to the insurgents.
Recovered from the suspect were an AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, military accouterments and assorted foodstuffs.
He is currently in custody for further investigation.
In a separate ambush operation around the Visik River line in the Madagali Local Government Area, troops neutralised a suspected terrorist commander, Abdullahi Mafa. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered.

Acting on intelligence, troops also arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula at Madagali Motor Park for allegedly supplying drones to insurgents. Two aerial drones, related accessories and 20 solar power banks were recovered.
