Jagal trains 21 youths on digital skills

In its efforts to support Nigeria’s future through employability skills acquisition, the Jagal Foundation partnered with JK Michaels Institute to upskill 21 young graduates and members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The training workshop was part of the foundation’s fifth annual Career Coaching and Development Programme, aimed at bridging the employability skills gap among young graduates and members of the NYSC.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the week-long programme, Daniel Ayscough, chief human resources officer at Nigerdock, a Jagal Group company, said; “Supporting Nigeria’s future is very important to us at The Jagal Foundation, and is the basis for our continued investment in the youth to enable them to provide immense value to organisations across sectors.”

Oyin Williams, the chief operating officer of JK Michaels Institute commended the foundation for its consistency in equipping the youth, and the participants for displaying immense potential during the training.

“Our purpose is to empower people and we have been working with the Jagal Foundation for five years.

They have passionately and consistently equipped young talents with the right skills and capabilities necessary for personal and professional growth.

The participants have displayed immense potential, and we are confident they will go on to achieve great success,” Williams said.

The Jagal Foundation’s Career Coaching and Development Programme have over the years catalysed meaningful career development and empowered young individuals to navigate their professional journeys successfully.

Participants were trained in curriculum vitae (CV) writing skills, personal effectiveness, effective communication, presentation skills, and Microsoft applications.

Following a rigorous vetting exercise, 21 exceptional individuals were selected to participate in the program.

These participants exhibited outstanding academic achievements, exceptional leadership potential, and a strong desire to develop their careers.

The programme was conducted in partnership with the JK Michaels Institute, a project management, consulting, and training institute and it featured an extensive curriculum focused on various aspects of career development.

The Jagal Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation was established in 2016 and is dedicated to improving the lives of Nigerians through programmes in education, economic empowerment initiatives, training, healthcare, and counselling, as well as supporting charities whose initiatives align with its vision.
