The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite and the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani are expected to grace this year’s Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS) scheduled to hold in London this May.

The event, which comes under the theme, ‘Invest Nigeria, Invest Africa, Business to business match-making networking summit’ would address how the diaspora can invest and create jobs in Nigeria and how the country can tackle unemployment and encourage entrepreneurship and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The Founder of the NDDIS, Bimbo Roberts Folayan in a statement co-signed by the NDDIS Media Manager, Doyin Ola and the Assistant Media Manager, Maureen Layokun, stated: “We are particularly excited about this year’s summit because for the first time, we will be directly involved in screening home bound projects and will also help push projects that meet SDG goals to get grants. It’s the first time we have been given this opportunity since we started attracting projects into Nigeria and Africa.

“The event is in partnership with the African Diaspora Direct Investment Summit and supported by the Nigerian High Commission, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), among other partners.

“About 400 delegates are expected to grace this year’s event in highbrow Kensington High Street, London.” According to the release, delegates include Nigerian and African Diaspora Business Leaders from the UK and across the world, companies, funders and investors from the UK, Europe, and the international community.

“The summit will be hosted by the Acting Nigerian High Commissioner, Ambassador Cyprian Heen.

Chairman/CEO, Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, among others will also be in attendance,” the release added.
