INBRID, an entrepreneurial development organization, is set to empower Nigerian entrepreneurs in 2025 with grants and strategic business education aimed at driving sustainable growth for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Speaking to journalists, Godwin Adekoya, INBRID’s Principal Consultant, highlighted the importance of SMEs to Nigeria’s economy, noting that these businesses drive employment and innovation but often face challenges such as limited funding and inadequate education.
“In 2025, INBRID is taking action by offering grants to 100 entrepreneurs and educating 10,000 individuals nationwide on how to make their businesses more profitable and scalable,” Adekoya said.
The 2025 initiative addresses two critical barriers to entrepreneurial success: funding and knowledge gaps. According to Adekoya, the program will equip participants with the necessary resources and skills for long-term business success.
“We are committed to awarding grants to 100 entrepreneurs across various sectors to help them scale their businesses, invest in new technologies, or explore untapped market opportunities. Each recipient will be selected through a transparent and rigorous process to ensure that the grants go to those with the greatest potential for impact,” he said.
According to him, the education component will focus on empowering 10,000 individuals through summits, webinars, and hands-on training. Participants will learn key skills such as sustainable business operations, reaching new customer segments, and securing external investments or grants.
“INBRID’s 2025 plans build on the organization’s accomplishments in 2024, which included hosting two major summits in Ondo and Uyo”, he added.
“The Ondo Summit was a game-changer, featuring expert-led sessions and a grant program that supported innovative business ideas. The Uyo Summit expanded in scale and scope, offering unique opportunities for networking, mentorship, and addressing the challenges faced by Nigerian entrepreneurs,” Adekoya recounted.
Over 1,000 participants benefited from last year’s events, with more than 10 businesses receiving grants to scale their operations. The summits also fostered valuable connections, helping numerous entrepreneurs sustain their growth.
“These achievements showcase INBRID’s commitment to empowering small businesses and creating meaningful change,” Adekoya said.
As part of its 2025 plans, INBRID is inviting partners and sponsors to support the initiative by funding grants, providing training, or offering resources for events. Partners will gain access to a large audience of entrepreneurs and receive recognition as champions of economic development.
Looking ahead, INBRID aims to introduce virtual summits and online training programs to extend its reach nationwide and globally. Collaborations with international organizations are also in the pipeline to strengthen Nigeria’s business ecosystem.
“This initiative represents a bold step toward transforming Nigeria’s entrepreneurial landscape. Whether you’re a government agency, a private company, or an individual, INBRID invites you to join this movement,” Adekoya said.
