Suspected gunmen have killed at least seven people mostly traders and injured 11 at Ngalda cattle and main market in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The suspected armed men stormed the weekly-active market in Ngalda, the Headquarters of Fika LG around 6pm on Tuesday, shooting sporadically, attacking and robbing shops and cattle markets.
Dauda Yakubu Damazai, one of Social Media Aides to the Council Chairman of Fika Local Government, said seven traders in both the main market and cattle market lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

‘‘Yesterday evening, the Ngalda cattle and Main market was attacked by unknown gun men, seven innocent people were killed by the attackers.
‘‘At least eleven peoples sustained injuries with fractures, they were rushed to general Hospital Fika for medical treatment. Thank God three (3) of the bandits were killed by the securities agencies and vigilantes.
‘‘The Council Chairman of Fika LG Hon Audu Bukar Gadaka, had pay a sympathy visit to the victims and prayed for Allah to forgive them and wishes a quickly recovery to those whose was hospitalised”, he said.
