Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has flagg-off the official ground breaking of the construction of Jimeta modern shopping complex, aimed at boosting Adamawa State economy.
The project, which iwas awarded at over ₦19.7 billion, was broken into three LOTS in order to ensure timely completion of the project by the three reputable contractors LOT 1 – LUBELL Nig. LTD; LOT 2- Madugu Commercial and Construction Company; and LOT3 – AMIJAPP Nig, Ltd.

Speaking at the Flagg-off ceremony, Governo Fintri said that the “Jimeta Ultra-modern Shopping complex is a landmark initiative which is not just about building a structure.”, adding that “it is about creating an enduring legacy, a vibrant commercial hub, and an environment that will attract investments, foster economic growth, and create jobs for our youth and our people in general.”
He further stated that the project had become a key part of the economic landscape of Adamawa State, bringing together both modern retail spaces and state-of-the-art facility.
“This is part of our broader vision to modernise the urban and rural landscape of Adamawa, promote sustainable growth and provide our people with the opportunities they deserve”, he said, asking the people of Adamawa State to always put the State interest first.
The project, according to Governor Fintiri, will be completed within 18 months.
