Election Tribunal: Peter Obi’s hearing adjourned for 7 days

Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi

The aftermath of petition CA/PEPC/03/2023 (Peter Obi and Labour Party vs INEC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, APC’s legal counsel) revealed that the hearing for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has been adjourned to Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Peter Obi’s legal council, led by Livy Uzoukwu, requested the adjournment of the hearing to Wednesday, and the legal councils representing Tinubu and Shettima agreed. This decision was reached unanimously among all parties and respondents involved.

According to Livy, the need for the adjournment is due to the number of outstanding processes yet to be filed and it will enable all parties to take decisions on documents that are in contention and controversial documents. They argued that it will also make the process faster.
