Eid el Fitr: Maltina distributes food to Muslims in Lagos

In the spirit of charitable giving that accompanies the Ramadan season, Nigeria’s No 1 malt brand, Maltina, distributed food, and branded items to Muslim faithful at the Olorunshola Workers Jamar mosque in Lagos Island on May 9, 2021.

This act of kindness by Maltina commenced on May 3 and will run till the end of the Ramadan and Eid el Fitr festivities. As part of the campaign, the brand distributed praying mats, digital tasbihs, and tote bags to Muslim faithful just before their evening prayer. This was followed by the distribution of meal packs with cold Maltina drinks after the evening prayers.

Speaking on the event, senior brand manager, Elohor Olumide-awe said, “What we are doing here today is very much in line with our brand essence of sharing happiness Ramadan is a time of giving and sacrifice, and Maltina believes the act of sharing is very important even more so than the magnitude of what is shared. We are, therefore, encouraging all our consumers to share no matter how little.”

Also commenting at the event, category & channels manager, Ehimhen Igberaese said “This campaign is not limited to Lagos only. We also connecting with Muslim faithful and those in need across various locations Abuja, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Sokoto, Kaduna, Ibadan, Kogi, Kwara, and other states nationwide,”

The Muslim faithful present at the Olorunshola Workers Jamar Mosque were particularly grateful to the Maltina team for the generosity during this time.
