It has been made clear that early comers to digital innovation will rule the future, while late comers may lose out, according to Cloudnotte group.
This is as digital transformation took centre stage in Bayelsa’s private education sector as the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Bayelsa State Chapter, and Cloudnotte set the tone for a forward-looking partnership with the co-hosting of the 2026 Congress in Yenagoa.
Framing the conversation around urgency and opportunity, Cloudnotte, an education technology company supporting over 2,000 schools across Nigeria and Africa with offline-enabled digital solutions, spotlighted the critical need for schools to embrace tech-driven systems to remain relevant.
Mary Mathew, its Chief Executive Officer, underscored this reality, noting that early adopters of digital innovation will lead the future of education, while late movers risk obsolescence. She highlighted how smart digital tools can bridge teacher gaps, streamline school operations, and improve accountability and learning outcomes.
With the theme, “Promoting Digital Learning Compliance in the Classroom,” the one-day congress convened school owners, administrators, and key stakeholders for practical engagements on integrating technology into teaching and school management. Sessions demonstrated how hybrid learning models, digital classroom tools, and structured systems can ensure continuity in learning—even in the absence of teachers.
Building on this digital momentum, NAPPS Bayelsa used the platform to announce two significant institutional strides: the inauguration of its Board of Trustees (BOT), made up of founding schools in the state; and the flag-off of its State Secretariat project—moves aimed at strengthening governance and administrative capacity.
Abraham Marshall, Chairman of NAPPS Bayelsa State, described the congress as a defining moment for private education in the state. He emphasized that beyond dialogue, the association is taking concrete steps to modernize its structure while aligning with global education trends through its partnership with Cloudnotte.
Bekere Zuokumor, representing the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education, lauded the initiative, reaffirming the importance of synergy between government and private school operators in raising education standards.
A panel session titled “Digital Compliance in Practice: How Schools Are Adapting, Scaling, and Winning” further enriched the discourse, with stakeholders sharing practical insights on implementing and scaling digital systems, particularly through Cloudnotte’s solutions.
The congress concluded with strong stakeholder buy-in and a renewed commitment to leveraging innovation to transform education delivery across Bayelsa State.
