The leading provider of Technology Solutions in Africa, CWG Plc said it will leverage technologies such as Robotic and Internet of Things to revamp operations in the Nigerian oil & gas industry with the ultimate aim of increasing revenue for the federal government.
This was disclosed in a statement by the company, which highlighted some of its initiatives targeted at developing and enabling businesses in the South-South region of the country from 2021.
According to CWG’s Regional Manager Port Harcourt, Mrs. Temitope Victor-Ime, CWG Plc as a leading ICT company and strong brand has taken the initiative to tap into the opportunities that will arise from the current NLNG Train 7 project to showcase its value and demonstrate professionalism.

CWG believes that the current NLNG Train 7 project, which is a federal government initiative that will boost the dwindling oil price in the sector, increase Nigeria’s GDP, improve the overall welfare of the Niger Delta people and provide no fewer than 50,000 jobs.
The statement also asserted that though the ICT Initiatives in Port Harcourt and other South-South states transcends the entire Energy sector; installation of digital meters in the electricity sectors, the digital transformation of the oil and gas rigs or production areas, robotic process automation in the Oil and Gas sector as a result of Covid-19 and the protocols associated with it such as reduced face to face interactions will be CWG’s areas of focus as it explores the region.
It added that CWG will implement Internet of Things technologies in the Agricultural sector. Citing the Songhai Farms in Elele, CWG said the farm, which is still very much elementary requires a lot of experts to come and demonstrate to government the impact of technologies on Agriculture.
