The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC) in Bayelsa State has adjourned the results announcement for the remaining two local government areas (LGAs) to noon today. The outstanding LGAs are Brass and Southern Ijaw.
INEC Head of Department for Voter Education and Publicity in Bayelsa State, Wilfred Ifogah, announced the adjournment after the session was reconvened at 7 pm on Sunday.

He cited challenges collating results from some units and wards in the two LGAs as the reason for the postponement.
Out of the eight LGAs in the state, results have been announced for six, with the PDP leading in five and the APC winning one.
INEC will resume the announcement of results at noon today.
