The internally generated revenue (IGR) of Bayelsa State has improved to over N1 billion monthly, Governor Seriake Dickson declared during his monthly transparency briefing.
Dickson explained that it was a huge improvement on the about N100 million that the state was doing when he came into office a year ago, saying it was due to deliberate efforts.

He hinted that the IGR would continue to improve as the state government continued to implement the new personal income tax law in the state and multinational firms in the state also start to pay their taxes.
