The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has been sworn in for a second term in office. He also thanked the electorate for their efforts.
Bala and his deputy, Muhammed Auwal Jatau were sworn in by the state chief judge, Justice Rabi Talatu.
The inauguration ceremony held at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, where the governor thanked the people of the state for giving him another four years to pilot the affairs of the state.

He said: “If not because of the support of the electorate and the prominent people in the state, I would have not been re-elected as the state governor.
“What I did in my first tenure, Bauchi State has no reason to be poor again and by God’s grace we will continue to do more for the betterment of Bauchi State.”
Bala assured the people that his second term would double what he had done in the past four years of his first tenure.
Governor Bala also called on Bauchi people to continue to pray for him in order that his second tenure would be better and for the state to continue to be peaceful.
