Bala inaugurates committee to distribute Ramadan palliatives in Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed on Friday inaugurated a Commiitee for the distribution of 2025 Ramadan palliatives. Hajara Warika, the Commisioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, was appointed to head the Committee.

Governor Mohammed said that the Ramadan palliative distribution initiative in the State had become a moral obligation to support families and citizens during the Holy Month of Ramadan, especially looking at the current economic situation across the Country.

He reminded the Committee to be just, fair and have the fear of Allah in their hearts while discharging the trust given to them.

Speaking on behalf of the 2025 Ramadan Palliative Committee, Hajara Wanka expressed their appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed gor choosing them to be among the Committee.

HWanka, Commisioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, assured Governor Mohammed of fairness and equity in the distribution exercise.

The Chairperson of the Committee, said “Your Excellency Sir, we won’t take this appointment for granted. In Sha Allah we will justify the confidence reposed in us”.

While other members of the Committee attached to Wanka included other Commissiners, Heads of State Departments and Agencies of Government, Religious, Community Groups, Security Operatives and some other key stakeholders.

The chairperson, Hajara Wanka, said since the establishment of the Ministry in 2023, had been saddled with the responsibility of all humanitarian distribution exercises in the State.
