…warns against blackmail
Paul Chukwuma, an aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship Election slated for November 2025, has described himself as the candidate to beat, saying he is confident of becoming the governor of the State, succeeding Governor Charles Soludo of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Chukwuma, a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, noted that with his track record of holding important positions within the APC, expressed optimism about his chances at both the APC Primary Election and forthcoming State Governorship Election later this year.
“I’m the person to beat in that election. As a foundation member of APC, I’m proud to have a college of aspirants in the party’s primary in Anambra.
“My work in rejuvenating the party has started to yield results, and I’m thrilled to see a great number of Ndi Anambra joining our ranks”, he said..
Chukwuma, who also addressed recent reports about him and his company, dismissed them as a “political witchhunt”, just as he said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would surely wrest the Governorship Seat from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA-led Anambra State Government.
He vowed to fight the allegations, saying: “My image cannot be tarnished. We know the people behind this, and I’m committed to fixing the face of Anambra.”
BusinessDay reports that the APC primaries are expected to be highly contested as some aspirants are contesting, but Chukwuma declares that he will win the poll and will subsequently contest to the State Governorship Election in November, 2025.
“Intimidation and blackmail cannot stop me. I will support the person God has anointed, and I’m confident that by the grace of God, I will emerge victorious and become the governor of Anambra State.”
Chukwuma emphasised that the APC has a Constitution and is a law-abiding party, stressing that the rules must be obeyed and obedience of the political party’s rules and regulations would eventually pave way for the party to win the Governorship Election.
“It is God who is bringing new people into the party, and they will work for us. I have the political will to do the needful,” he added.
