The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Reps Tajudeen Abbas on Tuesday informed that the 2024 budget will be passed on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
He made this known at the resumed plenary in his opening address.

As a matter of urgency, he asked the Committee on Appropriations and other various Committees in the House to conclude and submit their reports of the budget defence by government agencies by 8 pm today, 19th December 2023.
The Speaker said other budget-related activities like compilation, processing and harmonization would occur in between.
