A popular real estate firm, Excellent Homes and Investment, has launched Excellent Homes Academy as part of efforts to groom young talents in the real estate business and discourage them from engaging in get-rich-quick sydrome.

The firm said the academy was established with the vision of raising 1,000 young professionals equipped with ethical values and practical knowledge needed to thrive in the real estate sector.

The first cohort of the academy reportedly commenced training in March and completed the programme in April, while the graduation ceremony was held on May 2, 2026, at Lilygate Hotel in Lekki area of Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Excellent Homes and Investment, Isaac Adeleye, said the initiative was designed to build ethical, knowledgeable and forward-thinking professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to the growth of the real estate industry.

Adeleye noted that many young Nigerians could become financially independent through legitimate real estate opportunities if they were properly trained and mentored.

He said, “The vision behind the academy is to raise young talents who will succeed in real estate through integrity, professionalism and adequate knowledge rather than chasing shortcuts and other social vices associated with quick wealth.”

The convocation lecture was delivered by Bayo Lawal, who spoke on the theme, “The Future of Real Estate in a Digital Economy: Opportunities for Emerging Professionals.”

Lawal, during the lecture, encouraged the graduating participants to embrace technology, innovation and digital tools shaping the future of property investment and marketing.

In his welcome address, the Head of Academy, Ariyeloye Samuel Adetomiwa, said the institution was committed to bridging the knowledge gap in the real estate sector through practical and industry-focused learning.

Some of the participants described the training as impactful and life-changing, noting that the programme exposed them to sales strategies, client management, property marketing and ethical business practices needed to excel in the industry.
