Mortein reinforces brand essence on World Malaria Day

As the World marks the World Malaria Day, the management of Reckitt Benckiser, the producers of Mortein insecticide took the opportunity to reassure consumers of the brands resolve to win the fight against malaria.

The Marketing Director, Reckitt Benckiser, Sanjay Kashyap while speaking at a special event to mark the year 2013 World Malaria Day which held in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area, Lagos State recently, emphasised that the company is doing all it can to ensure that consumers get value for using Mortein.

Kashyap noted that the Mortein brand is in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Health to implement health programmes and malaria control activities aimed at stopping the scourge of the deadly disease.

“Reckitt Benckiser home, health and hygiene brands are sold in over 200 countries of the world. We are posed to provide innovative brands and foster partnerships that help build a healthier society,” said Kashyap.

Also present at the event was the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Health, Olufemi Olugbile who represented the Lagos State Commissioner for health.

Olugbile reassured Lagosians that the state government will continue to invest in the health of its people as investment in that direction is a panacea for avoidable deaths and illnesses.

Olugbile also encouraged residents of Lagos State to key into the environmental sanitation programme of the state by ensuring the cleanliness of their drains and drainage channels, more importantly now that the rainy season has begun to avert occurrence of flood and prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
