Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated Mustapha Bello, on his appointment as chairman, Board of Directors of Zenith Bank.
In a congratulatory message signed by Bologi Ibrahim, chief press secretary (CPS), the governor described the appointment of Bello, who was a former minister of Commerce from 1999 to 2002 under President Olusegun Obasanjo, as well deserved.
Bago noted Bello’s vast and outstanding leadership experience across public and private sectors, saying he is a round peg in a round hole with his present position.
He expressed confidence that the new board chairman of Zenith Bank would reposition the financial institution for more effective and stable service delivery.
The governor assured him of his readiness to provide him with the necessary support to ensure his success.
Mustapha Bello, engineer, joined the Board of Zenith Bank in 2017 and served in several Board committees, including the Board Audit and Compliance Committee, Board Governance, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
Until his appointment as the chairman, board of directors of the financial institution, he was the chairman of the Board Risk Management Committee.
