Fintiri’s second phase of business wallet to empower 10,000 women In Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has again launched the second phase of the Fintiri Business Wallet, a key initiative aimed at empowering women and alleviating poverty.

The government said it was part of efforts to eradicate poverty and to foster economic growth, building financial stability in the state.

The programme provided 10,000 women grants of 50,000 naira across the 21 local government areas in the first phase, another set of 10, 000 women are going to benefit from the second phase.

The initiative targets micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those run by women, to foster economic growth and financial stability.

He emphasized that the programme aligns with the administration’s goals of poverty alleviation, women and youth development, and economic empowerment.

The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and the Agency for Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation (PAWECA) are tasked with providing ongoing support and training to beneficiaries, to boost their businesses

The governor has also implemented measures to ease economic hardships, including expanding public transportation, provided 31 mass luxurious buses to cushion the effect of transportation and for citizens’ comfort, particularly students of tertiary institutions.

He also stressed that some of the initiatives of his administration have so far trained 45,000 youths and women in various trades and skills.

Governor Fintiri assured citizens that these efforts are part of a larger plan to improve the state’s economic resilience and overall quality of life.
