Salihu Mustapha, Adamawa State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for promoting peace and economic development in the country.
Mustapha, a former APC National Vice Chairman (North-East), made the remarks during separate visits to the Emir of Maiha, and the traditional rulers of Hong and Song chiefdoms.
He expressed confidence that both the Federal Government and the Adamawa State Government would continue to provide social services and improve the welfare of citizens.

The APC aspirant also commended the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for his efforts in improving security, especially in the northern part of Adamawa State which was once heavily affected by Boko Haram activities.
According to Mustapha, the visits were aimed at seeking prayers and royal blessings for his ambition to become the next governor of Adamawa State.
He promised to build on the achievements of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri if elected into office.
Mustapha said security would remain a top priority under his administration, adding that he would support security agencies with intelligence gathering and logistics to tackle insecurity.
He also pledged to work closely with traditional institutions to promote peace, preserve culture and encourage development across the state.
“History has shown the important role traditional rulers play in maintaining peace, security and proper upbringing of the youth. I am ready to strengthen that role for the progress of our society,” he said.
He added that government alone could not solve all societal challenges, stressing the need to empower traditional institutions through supportive laws and policies.
Speaking during the visit, Yusuf Buba, the campaign coordinator, described Mustapha as a credible and experienced leader, noting his background as a lawyer, former military officer, political analyst and banker.
Buba appealed to traditional rulers and APC stakeholders to support the aspirant’s ambition.
In their separate remarks, the traditional rulers assured Mustapha of their prayers and support.
The aspirant also met with APC officials in the local government areas visited and promised inclusive leadership if elected governor.
