The notice of suspension was said to have been communicated to the acting chairman of the Commission, Mohammed Umar, on Tuesday night by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

The action is, however, said to be causing serious protests at the Commission’s headquarters as some of those affected have denied any connections with Magu who has been detained for over a week now.

Spokesman of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, could not confirm the story as his number was not reachable at the time of writing this report.
