Uche Nnakenyi, Divisional CEO, ipNX Infrastructure

Uche Nnakenyi is a highly skilled and disciplined professional with over 16 years cognate experience in Information Technology and telecommunications industry, spanning across business strategy, project and programme management, client management, leadership, team building and business management.

She is vast in engineering designs and roll-out, business development and sales, strategy, business process analysis and modeling, systems integration and so on. She is responsible for various data and telecoms initiatives in major oil & gas multinational companies within Nigeria.

Currently with ipNX and focused on the growth of the ipNX infrastructure business, she previously worked with iTECO Nigeria Limited, Telnet Nigeria Limited and Nigerian Bottling Company.

Over the years, ipNX has been at the pioneering forefront of the ICT industry with a track record of innovativeness.

Established in 2002, by a set of young visionary engineering professionals, ipNX was established with a strategic vision of empowering individuals and businesses through ICT.

Uche’s job position allows her oversee the engineering operations in the eastern region of ipNX. “I love working with my team to ensure excellent service delivery, customer satisfaction and client retention by providing high quality services.” She said.

Nnakenyi holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Benin, various technical and professional certifications, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Lagos Business School and an alumni of the IESE Business School’s Pan-African EMBA module programme.

She has attended various short technical, business, sales, financial, written communication courses.

As the pioneer CEO of the ipNX Infrastructure Division, she is responsible for crafting policies, strategies, operating plans as well as the organisational structure and business model for the division.

Furthermore, she conducts strategic planning and sets the strategic objectives for the division, drives growth of the ipNX Fibre-To-The-Home infrastructure across Nigeria, liaises with regulatory authorities (Nigeria Communications Commission, Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance Regulatory Agency, other state and federal agencies) and ensuring strict compliance with their ethos and requirements.

Nnakenyi actively participates in budgetary and other financial management operations for the division, ensures the goals and objectives are appropriate for the division and are communicated to employees. In addition, she monitors the division’s progress.

Uche ensures to review and approves the Risk Management Plan, as well as financial forecasts and forecasted financial statements.

Others include providing financial performance reporting to the executive management and Board of Directors, reviews the market analysis and she uses the information to help drive business decisions in the division.

Uche is also responsible for developing and leading a culture of excellence within the division and possesses a strong ability to communicate effectively with management, Board, customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers to achieve divisional objectives.
