Tolu Ita: Country Manager of International Beverages Consultancy

Tolu Ita is a versatile business leader and an aviation executive, with over 17 years of cross-functional experience in multi-industries including aviation and FMCG, with unique expertise in stakeholder management, managing high-impact projects, and enterprise solutions development for the operational and strategic needs of governmental, private and multinational organisations globally.

Currently, she is the country manager of International Beverages Consultancy. IBC Group is a one stop shop for organisations looking for a full spectrum of services in the food & beverage industry. As a multinational Group, they have a global reach and provide a wide spectrum of services specific to the food processing and beverages manufacturing industry, including project management, support, design, product development, line specification, commissioning, service level agreements and troubleshooting.

At IBC, Tolu successfully drives the adoption of global business strategies for continued sustainability, as well as leading and advising organisational leaders in the various business strategies, and critical partnerships to amplify the business’ impact, boost revenue targets and increase shareholder value in a truly significant way.

As Country Manager, she provides leadership and strategic oversight to IBC’s organisation, driving high-level revenue generating initiatives, and directing financial sales activities for organisational expansion and deepening.

She also builds and nurtures relationships with partners and key stakeholders including government, private institutions and all aspects of partnership management with Buhler Nigeria to successfully further the business goals of IBC in Nigeria.

Furthermore, she develops and manages diverse strategies, sustaining a high market share over the years, whilst overseeing the organisation’s business operations in the region.

Ita is responsible for sourcing and managing needed operational resources (financial, people and materials), whilst instituting and reviewing internal procedures, policies, and processes in alignment with global governance best practices.

Before her foray into organisational management, she had successfully worked her way to the aviation industry’s top, championing operational initiatives, corporate governance and policy in the industry, in collaboration with global colleagues.

In 2018, she successfully participated in a change management project involving an operations process, to ensure seamless operations of Nigeria’s aviation entities under the NCAA during the COVID-19 period.

Leveraging her prowess in public-private partnerships, conflict resolution and strategic planning, she has been able to collaborate with international partners, governments, and private investors on systems and strategies that improve revenue while maintaining the sustainability of the organisation she serves.

Ita sits on the Board of a school (SIS) and a fully Integrated Aviation Specialist CopterJet International as an advisor to the Board. She was an adviser to the Nigerian Member of the Flight Operations Panel, ICAO Nigerian Member of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) Policy review team.
