Hilda Nkor, is the Principal Consultant / CEO of HNC Professional Services and the immediate past Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN).
HNC Professional Services Limited (HNCPS) is a one-stop solution-based Management Consulting company that drives knowledge on various subjects for Board and executive management development while offering advisory services across various levels on corporate governance, strategy development, enterprise risk management, financial management and human capital management.
Hilda has over 25 years working experience in the health, banking and corporate sectors of the economy as well as in public, private and not-for-profit organisations. She holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from Abia State University.
Hilda has successfully designed and executed programmes of learning targeting Board chairmen, directors, company secretaries, Board committees (Audit, risk, remuneration and nomination) and senior management. She has also successfully conducted Board assessment and evaluation for over 35 companies working closely with renowned boardroom experts to achieve resounding results.
Her organisational skills are clearly displayed at various open events like the annual corporate governance conferences, breakfast meetings, President’s dinner, various seminars, trainings and workshops which have featured veterans in the corporate world, captains of industry, ministers of the federal republic, past state governors among others in collaboration with regulators to drive knowledge in the field of corporate governance.

She has facilitated Board and management strategy sessions for companies and facilitated different directors’ induction programmes (Executive and non-executive) on the subject of corporate governance, Board and strategy development, ethic and compliance.
She has led teams to conduct and facilitate Board and management retreats. She remains a go-to person about corporate behaviour. She has also facilitated senior management trainings on fraud detection, management assessment of internal controls and performance management.
She strongly believes in the application of global best practices in corporate governance to the Board and corporate environment in Nigeria, both in public and private sectors.
Hilda is a certified governance practitioner. She is an associate member of The Chartered Institute of Secretary and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), an associate member of Women in Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ) and a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) Nigeria. She is an Alumnae of the prestigious Lagos Business School.
She serves on the boards of McNichols Consolidated Plc and Lancelot Fund & Portfolio Management Limited as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED). She is a woman of faith, happily married and blessed with three children.
