Tonia Pharmacy expands patient access and health initiatives across Nigeria

Tonia Pharmacy, a clinical pharmacy provider based in Abuja with operations extending across Nigeria, continues to focus on medication quality, clinical practice, and patient access. In commemoration of World Pharmacist Day (September 25, 2025), Tonia Pharmacy delivered in-branch clinical consultations, medication therapy management reviews, and a public sensitization campaign on rational drug use across its seven branches in Abuja. At each location, no fewer than four to five licensed pharmacists were on duty simultaneously, providing prescription verification, patient counselling, and guidance on managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and malaria.

Earlier in the year, Tonia Pharmacy partnered with #E-mal to present a Medical Outreach in commemoration of World Malaria Day 2025 under the theme “Malaria Ends with Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite.” The event took place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Tonia Pharmacy Ltd Vehicle Sale Division. All services — including blood sugar tests, blood pressure checks, malaria tests, and medications — were provided free of charge to attendees.

The Health Unit of the U.S. Embassy in Abuja awarded Tonia Pharmacy a Certificate of Appreciation for its support and participation in the 2018 Health Fair themed “Know Your Numbers, Know Your Health,” signed by Regional Medical Officer Dr. Dawn Osterholt. The recognition cited the pharmacy’s role in promoting preventive health and improving workforce wellness.
