The conference themed, The Never-Ending Story, Lagos Traffic Congestion: What Can be Done? Will it be Done?, will have Robin Hutcheson, director of public works, Minneapolis, USA, as the keynote speaker.

It is expected that Claire Pierangelo, consul general, United States Consulate General, and Frank Aigbogun, publisher, BusinessDay, will deliver the welcome remarks at the conference.

The conference would have a panel session with three panelists that include Fredrick Oladeinde, Lagos State commissioner of transportation; Innocent Ogwude, professor of transport management and former acting vice chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Imo State, and Tola Odeyemi, managing partner, XFA Advisory Uber.

Those interested in the discussion are expected to hook up using www.facebook.com/usinnigeria, at 2pm.

Recently, traffic situation has worsened in Lagos State, such that commuters and motorists spend quality man-hour on roads travelling from home to the office, and office to home on a daily basis.

This has resulted in huge loss for businesses whose workers spend large chuck of the working hours on the road commuting to work. Many Lagos residents have also lost their lives and valuables to traffic robbers.
