Inflation rate in Nigeria was lowest in Kogi, Delta, Benue, Kwara and Imo in December 2017 on year-on-year basis, as gathered from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report on Tuesday, January 16 2017.
According to the report, Kogi had the most disinflation rate at 10.03percent followed by Delta State at 12.61percent while Benue, Kwara and Imo were at 13.35 percent, 13.46percent and 13.57 percent respectively.
However, On a month on month basis in December 2017, inflation rate was lowest in Sokoto, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kwara and Nassarawa state at -0.05 percent, -0.67 percent, -0.30 percent, -0.37 percent and -0.40 percent respectively.
Food inflation in the period under review was lowest in Kogi at 11.14 percent, Bauchi at 14.18percent while Benue, Anambra and Abia recorded 15.04 percent, 16.07 percent and 16.97 precnt respectively, as compiled by BusinessDay.
On monthly basis, food inflation was lowest in Abuja, Kaduna, Benue, Borno and Gombe with -0.07 percent, -0.08 percent, -0.12percennt, -0.20 percent and -0.43 percent respectively.
