The Senate today summoned Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, to appear before it and brief the senators on the current state of the economy.

This is sequel to a motion by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Bassey Akpan.

The upper chamber did not give a specific date on which both officials will appear.
