NSE places Diamond Bank’s shares on full suspension

The Nigerian Stock Exchange Wednesday placed the shares of Diamond Bank on full suspension. The decision followed the completion of the process leading to the merger between Access Bank and Diamond Bank.

Access Bank yesterday announced that it had obtained a court sanction of the merger. According Diamond, the full suspension will enable it to determine the shareholders that will be entitled to receive the Scheme Consideration.

“Shareholders and other investors are requested to please note that following the Full Suspension of March 20, 2019 – the last trade day was Tuesday, March 19, 2019 following which there will be no further trades in the shares of Diamond Bank Plc,” the statement noted.

Diamond Bank shares closed at N2.42 on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
