In the past six months culminating to the noteworthy “XII XII XV event,” many have wondered and speculated on the vision behind, and purpose of this event.
The Nigeria media space has gone agog with the news of a young and daring real estate company that is challenging the status quo and determined to up the ante with its new architectural masterpiece, Lorenzo.
Details of project design and other specifics were deliberately kept away from the public domain, only to be unveiled at a grand event marked XII XII XV. Media and real estate enthusiasts couldn’t wait to unravel the mystery surrounding this monumental project, and speculated that it might be an exact replica of Zaha Hadid’s first residential building in New York.
On Saturday, December 12, deemed the D-Day, the suspense was finally put to rest as dignitaries, private sector leaders, captains of industry, A-list artists, celebrities and property aficionados and prospective investors gathered in Lagos for the private launch of the tallest residential building in Lagos – LorenzoBySujimoto, amid glitz and glamour.
As it is true with all successful off plan real estate sales, the right composition of location, quality, price and timing is essential, the management of Sujimoto made good on this front and reaffirmed the common knowledge that a great product – in this case real estate, will always sell itself, irrespective of dwindling economic fortunes, as there will always be a demand for quality accommodation, especially a building positioned to be the tallest residential in Lagos, located on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi.
The LorenzoBySujimoto XII XII VI event hit a homerun and sales are off to a great start with 19 of the first batch of 22 units sold out.
The event was widely represented by thought leaders and the crème de la crème from different sectors of the Nigerian society.
Gbolahan Lawal, Lagos State housing commissioner, commended Sujimoto for their innovative project, which according to him will change the face and skyline of Lagos.
Speaking at the grand unveiling ceremony, Sijibomi Ogundele, managing director of Sujimoto, said the company visited more than 40 buildings in Lagos and Abuja, travelled across three continents in search of quality and inspiration.
“We went to Dubai and saw the beauties of Downtown, travelled to Tokyo to the prestigious suburbs of Ginza and visited some penthouses in Manhattan, New York. We have learnt from the best and we know that the world belongs to those who create something rare, and not the norm, those who go the extra mile; those who think big, and build big,” he said.
