The Independent National Electoral Commission has ended a meeting at its headquarters in Abuja, with a promise to inform Nigerians on the decision taken by the body.

Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to Chairman of INEC, told journalists that a decision on whether or not this morning’s elections would hold had been made.

Oyekanmi declined to disclose the resolution reached at the meeting, but assured that Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of INEC, would soon address the press on the outcome of the meeting.

Yakubu and the 12 INEC commissioners attended the meeting.
