Nigerians who have been commenting on various social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook express the hope that all candidates invited for the debate will show up and present their plans to the electorate.

Although the Presidential campaign team of President Buhari are yet to confirm whether he will attend the debate or not, many Nigerians have expressed doubts he will. It will be recalled that in 2019, Buhari who later defeated then incumbent President Jonathan shied away from numerous debate invitations.
