Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has approved the nomination of former CBN governor, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi Lamido, as the new Emir of Kano.

Sanusi is the 14th Emir of Kano following the death of Alhaji Dr. Ado Abdullahi Bayero who passed away few days ago.
