Eko Disco announces planned power outage

Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) has announced there will be interruption in power supply to some areas within its network between the hours of 10 in the morning and 5 in the evening on Sunday, 17th January.
A release from the Corporate Communication Department of the Company said the planned power outage was occasioned by relocation of a transmission tower from one point to another by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The relocation of the tower, said the release,was necessitated by the on-going dualization and expansion of the Badagry-Apapa Expressway.

According to Godwin Idemudia, Head, Corporate Communication the tower to be relocated carries the Agbara-Ojo 132kv transmission lines one and two.

As stated in the press statement, areas to be affected by the outage are Naval Quarters, Okokomaiko, Ajangbadi, Cele-NICA PPL and their environs.

The company appealed to its customers in areas to be affected to please bear with the company for the inconvenience the outage might cause adding that supply would be restored as soon as the tower relocation work was concluded.
